Nalu is Hawaiian for Surf. Casa Nalu was built by, Jason & Elenice Senn, two former professional surfers who after traveling the world found their favorite beaches here on the Nicoya Peninsula. Playa Hermosa is one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica with amazing surf for beginners thru Advanced surfers. Casa Nalu's founders both ran very successful surf schools in California, Hawaii and Costa Rica. For the past 26 years they have been sharing their lifestyle with others and now they want to share their surfing paradise with you.  

Casa Nalu isn't just about surfing but about the amazing lifestyle and atmosphere  of the Nicoya Pennisula. Nalu's owners, always knew  this place had a special energy, it is now named as one of the 5 Blue Zones in the world. What's that mean? Some of the longest living people in the world live in Blue Zones and its not a secret. Diet, exercise, lifestyle, friends, family, and enjoying life all contribute to longevity and happiness. A stress free stay involves having things taken care of for you. Cleaning and maid service will be provided for your stay with us. You can also organize a chef to pick up some local veggies from the farmers market and some fresh fish from the local fisherman and cook you an amazing world class Blue Zone meal. Let us know your needs and wants and our Concierge will do their best to make it happen. 

With the best surfing beach in Costa Rica being only steps away you might as well organize a surf lesson. We have surfboards on site for rent but a lesson from a local professional is a must. The waves front of the house are perfect for beginner and advanced surfers. Other favorite activities available are: Fishing, Stand up Paddling, Zipline tours, Horseback Tours,  Golf, ATV rentals, etc.

Known for its many world class Yoga classes. We can arrange a private yoga class, or visit one of the many yoga studios nearby. Massage and Spa Treatments can be arranged as well.
